Once upon an autumn\u2019s eve,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

in a forest yonder,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

you may find a rabbit wanderer  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Her mother is the Moon <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her father is the River <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can see why her fur is pure silver  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Those days, the Sun had yet to appear<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the rabbit was given a clock to wake <\/p>\n\n\n\n

the Ancient from its underground slumber <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

“This is your only chore.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Said Mother Moon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This is all we ask of you.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Said Father River.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“O’ little rabbit, do not forget.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Was their reminder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Three full solstices came and went,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And on the fourth, a strange Wind sent  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

a little fox,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

of unknown intent.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

His coat was red velvet,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His eyes were sapphire blue,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His smile was measured but true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

“I was told to find a little rabbit<\/p>\n\n\n\n

winding a clock<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For I am her guide of sorts<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Little rabbit pondered <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of all creatures to follow, a fox?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Little rabbit considered <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If she could trust him with her clock?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Many questions, little rabbit<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A choice is a choice, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chocolate Cake or Coconut Ice <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Even so, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

little rabbit took the hand of <\/p>\n\n\n\n

the velveteen fox,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

beginning a journey beyond her thoughts  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

They traced the path of Days,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

across the swallows\u2019 highway, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following that, the Perseids<\/p>\n\n\n\n

in spite of great fatigue <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Afterwards, the ancient Nimbus <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Infinite cloud that reigned greatest<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In the mist of white and cotton,  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sat the duo <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But her quest not forgotten<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To the rabbit’s woe<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Tumultuous<\/p>\n\n\n\n

were her considerations  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Until fox gently opened his umbrella<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a leap into an unknown destination <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Tumbling, stumbling then landing on a quiet shore <\/p>\n\n\n\n

in front of a glow the rabbit has seen before   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My my my, if this isn\u2019t their Sun <\/p>\n\n\n\n

an eggyolk of a rum a tum tum <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWelcome little rabbit, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To Dream<\/em>, not yonder<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here lies all that are unseen<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And sleeps all who are redeemed\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And Little rabbit recognised the glorious star<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All awake for the first dawn run<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But then rang the clock<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Waking her up with a jolt<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n
